LocalLens is now Whistle Enterprise

The private local AI idea became a meeting document product.

LocalLens was built around a simple rule: sensitive work should be processed on your own computer. Whistle Enterprise keeps that rule and applies it to meetings. It records, transcribes and writes up your meetings entirely on your own machine.

What changed

LocalLens searched and queried private documents on a local computer. Whistle Enterprise solves the next problem in the same category: turning private conversations into a usable meeting document without sending them to a cloud service.

Three things happen, all on your own machine.

  1. Records the meeting. Audio from Teams, Zoom, Meet, Webex or an in person microphone. It is not a participant in the call. Or drop in an existing recording: MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, OGG or video.
  2. Transcribes the audio. Locally on the same computer. Speakers are labelled. Thirteen languages, auto-detected per recording.
  3. Writes the document. A custom fine-tuned AI model, built specifically for meeting documents and designed to run on your CPU, reads the full transcript and writes a clear, structured account of what was discussed. Not a dry summary, not a raw transcript, but the document you would write yourself if you had the time.

Export to PDF, DOCX, Markdown or plain text. Highlight any sentence in the document and Whistle Enterprise shows you the exact passage in the transcript it came from. The audio, the transcript and the document are kept in a local workspace that can be encrypted with a password.

Run as many meetings as you want

Whistle Enterprise is a perpetual licence per seat, with one year of updates included in the purchase. There are no monthly minute caps and no per-meeting fees. There are no meeting duration minutes at all, record as long as you want and get the same consistent output from a 10 minute, or 10 hour meeting.

Because the work happens on the computer, there is nothing to be unavailable when the meeting starts. There is no phone home behaviour, no licensing check that calls a server and no remote model to reach. If the meeting is happening, Whistle Enterprise records it. Read the full cost and availability case.

The LocalLens rule still holds

The old LocalLens promise was not really about search. It was about keeping private material out of a vendor system. That is still the design rule.

The above 5 things will never change.

There are conversations I didn't want sending to a cloud provider, and every other tool required it. So I built Whistle Enterprise.
